1. Who is responsible for Tally Counter?
Tally Counter is developed and operated by Natali Ihnatsenka, publishing under the name Cuterello. In this Privacy Policy, “Cuterello,” “we,” and “us” refer to Natali Ihnatsenka.
2. Information stored by the app
Tally Counter stores the information you create in the app, including counters, names, subtitles, notes, values, activity history, groups, goals, reminders, settings, dates, and identifiers used by the app. This information is stored on your iPhone. When iCloud Backup is available, the app also stores a recovery copy in iCloud. This backup is stored privately for your Apple Account, and Cuterello cannot access it.
3. Information Cuterello does not collect
Tally Counter does not send your counter content to Cuterello or to a Cuterello server. When iCloud Backup is on, Tally Counter stores a recovery copy in iCloud. Apple handles that data under its own privacy terms. The app does not include:
- advertising or advertising identifiers;
- behavioral analytics or third-party analytics services;
- cross-app or cross-site tracking;
- an app account or sign-in system;
- access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.
4. Reminders and widgets
If you enable reminders, Tally Counter asks iOS for notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device. Reminder text can include the name of the counter. Apple controls notification delivery and related system settings.
Information you choose to show in a widget can be visible on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. Consider this when selecting a counter for a widget on a shared device.
6. iCloud Backup
iCloud Backup is on by default when iCloud is available. After changes are saved on your iPhone, Tally Counter may automatically create a private backup in iCloud. It doesn’t sync or merge changes between devices. Restoring only happens when you choose it and replaces the current data on that iPhone.
Tally Counter keeps up to three iCloud backups. They count toward your iCloud storage. Turning off iCloud Backup stops new backups but keeps existing ones. You can delete them in the app. Cuterello cannot access them.
7. Manual backups and exports
Manual Backup creates a file containing the data needed to restore Tally Counter. You choose where to save or share it. The app does not automatically upload these files to Cuterello or iCloud. Backup files may contain information you entered in the app, so keep them private.
CSV Export creates a file with selected activity history and cannot restore the app. Files you share are handled by the recipient or storage service under its own privacy practices. Tally Counter deletes temporary files after sharing and clears older temporary files.
8. Diagnostics
Tally Counter may record diagnostic messages on your iPhone to help identify errors. The app does not automatically send these logs to Cuterello. If you contact support, you choose what information to share with us.
9. Support messages
If you contact support, we receive the information you include, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. We use it to answer your request, troubleshoot the issue, prevent abuse, and maintain necessary support records.
We keep support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
10. This website
The Cuterello website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare may process information such as your IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps, and security events to deliver and protect the site. Cuterello does not add advertising or behavioral analytics cookies to this site.

11. Deleting and retaining app data
You can delete individual counters in the app. Delete All Data removes counters, activity history, groups, goals, reminders, and related widget data. Some general app preferences may remain until you change them or remove the app. Apple retains purchase records under its own policies.
Delete All Data does not delete backup or CSV files you previously saved outside Tally Counter. You can delete those files from the location where you chose to store them.
Using Delete All Data or removing the app does not delete existing iCloud backups. Delete them separately in Tally Counter or through Apple’s iCloud settings. Cuterello cannot access or remotely delete your local data or private iCloud backups.
12. Children’s privacy
Tally Counter is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children for the purpose of collecting personal information. We do not knowingly collect children’s counter data through the app. If a child contacts support, a parent or guardian may ask us to delete that correspondence.
13. Security
Tally Counter uses built-in iOS protections for data stored on your iPhone. Backups stored in your iCloud are protected by Apple’s iCloud security measures.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information we hold about you, including support correspondence. These rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Tally Counter data is stored on your iPhone and, when available, in your private iCloud backups. Cuterello cannot access it. You can manage local data and iCloud backups in the app or through Apple’s system settings.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Tally Counter, the website, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable way where required.
