Tally Counter

Find answers to common questions about the app.

What’s the difference between Backup and Export?

iCloud Backup automatically stores a private recovery copy in iCloud. Manual Backup creates a file you can save or share yourself. Both can restore your app data. Export creates a CSV file for viewing or analyzing activity and can’t restore the app.

Why is a widget showing an older value?

iOS controls when widgets refresh. Tally Counter requests updates when values change and schedules updates for resets, but iOS may occasionally delay what appears on screen.

Where is my Tally Counter data stored?

Your counters, settings, and activity history are stored on your iPhone. When iCloud Backup is available, a private recovery copy is also stored in iCloud. No Tally Counter account is required.

Why did a reminder start the next day?

If the selected time has already passed, iOS schedules the next matching time. When testing, make sure notifications are allowed and choose a time a few minutes ahead.

How do I back up or move my data?

iCloud Backup is on by default when available. Open Settings > iCloud Backup to check its status, back up now, restore, or delete backups. To create a file you can save or move yourself, use Settings > Manual Backup. Restoring from either source replaces the app data on that iPhone.

How do I restore Premium?

Open Tally Counter Settings, choose Premium, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual counters from Counter Settings, or use Delete All Data in Settings to remove local app data. iCloud backups aren’t deleted automatically; remove them separately under Settings > iCloud Backup. Delete manual backup and CSV files wherever you saved them.
